Review: July 9th – 13th 2018 Esri User Conference in San Diego, California

Discover what the GIS future brings with 3D PluraView in 3D stereo

At the world’s largest GIS user conference in San Diego, Schneider Digital showed the latest in VR system development – its new 3D PluraView, an innovative, passive 3D stereo VR system. He demonstrated live the latest technological possibilities in terms of virtual reality for geoinformatics, GIS and photogrammetry.

At the technology conference, July 9-13, 2018, visitors were able to improve their programming skills, interact with Esri engineers, and learn best practice for a number of esri GIS applications. Many international visitors came and did not miss this chance. Visitors had a good mix of all geoinformatics applications, adding to the liveliness of the conference.

The optimized beam splitter technology with higher color fidelity allows for all 3D PluraView variants an extremely relaxed working by the guaranteed absolute Flimmerfreiheit. Thanks to the brightness of two monitors, 3D stereo users can now work in a window seat in direct sunlight. This allows completely redesigned, attractive stereo workstations with high viewing comfort, which have a positive effect on the motivation of 3D PluraView users.

The possibility of stereoscopic viewing allows innovative work in a variety of industries and applications, such as. GIS / mapping, photogrammetry, laser scanning, computer tomography, simulation, molecular research or design / CAD stereo software applications. The monitors are certified among others by AGISOFT, ESRI, HEXAGON and TRIMBLE.

Thanks for your visit!
