Review: From 22nd to 23rd May 2018 GEO Business in London

3D PluraView in use in geoinformation technology, photogrammetry and geodesy

This year, GEO Business, one of the largest geospatial fairs and conferences, took place in London, UK. With its partners IGI Systems and DA / TEM Europe, Schneider Digital presented a complete 18-bit 3D stereo GIS workflow – from camera-based data acquisition (IGI Systems) to visualization, 3D analysis and editing with TerraStereo software on the 3D PluraView Monitor. Also on the booth of Schneider Digital Partner TerraSolid, Schneider Digital showcased its innovative 3D PluraView passive 3D stereo monitor and demonstrated the latest technology and showcases around GIS and geographic information systems with TerraSolid’s leading GIS and photogrammetry software.

Interested visitors got to know the established successor of the Planar monitors with the advanced beam splitter technology live in practice. Operating in the passive 3D stereo technology environment for around 15 years, Schneider Digital has continuously developed its 3D PluraView passive 3D stereo monitor and optimized it for use in the GIS and GEO space. The 3D PluraView product family impresses with highest user acceptance through perfected technology, highest quality and functional design.

The annual geospatial event GEO Business is aimed at anyone involved in the collection, storage, processing and provision of geospatial data. The two-day event provided an excellent platform for strategic geospatial solutions and topics combined with state-of-the-art GIS hardware and software technologies.

This year’s GEO Business is the largest geospatial trade fair and conference to date. It was attended by senior managers and decision-makers working in architecture, construction, engineering, housing, councils and more, as well as geoinformation technology, photogrammetry and geodesy stakeholders. The event offered over 2,000 geomatics and geospatial experts from all over the world and well-known exhibitors the opportunity to get to know GIS solutions, collect ideas, exchange experiences and network.
